Amybeth McNulty (born in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish Canadian actress. She is known for her starring role as Anne Shirley in the CBC/Netflix drama series Anne with an E, inspired by the 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Amybeth McNulty grew up in Milford County Donegal Ireland. Her father is Irish and her mother Canadian. Amybeth was born on the 7th of November 2001 in Ireland. In 2023, she will be going to be 20 years old. Her birthplace and education was in Donegal Ireland. She holds Irish citizenship and Canadian citizenship. Her natural hair is naturally blonde. Anne was also in a tense friendship with Gilbert Blythe who was two years younger than Anne but studying at her degree after his studies were stopped when his father fell unwell. At their first encounter in school, Gilbert was known to tease Anne by calling her Carrots. Amybeth McNulty plays Anne, an orphaned 13-year old who endures a childhood filled with abuse at the orphanages and homes. Anne was misplaced at the house of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. They lived in Prince Edward Island. They're all very happy when the show is over in 1919. Gilbert has aged to 55, but is still passionately in love with Anne.
